After 11 days of its box office run, Akshay Kumar and Vidya
Balan starrer Mission Mangal has outperformed the Rs 150 crore mark. It earned
Rs 15.30 crore on Sunday (25.08.2019). The Jagan Shakti directorial has
collected Rs 164.61 crore.

Mission Mangal revolves around India's mission to Mars that
was powered by a women-dominated team of scientists at ISRO. The movie shows
how the mission braved one trouble to another from finances, weather and even
personal challenges of the scientists to achieve this momentous feat.

Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya
Menen, Sharman Joshi, Sanjay Kapoor, and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub.
Mission Mangal did well despite facing stiff competition
from John Abraham's Batla House, which has also done well, earning over Rs
88.04 crore in 12 days of its release. The weekend, however, may not be a
cakewalk for both Akshay and John as superhit film Baahubali star Prabhas'
Saaho is scheduled to release on Friday 30 Aug 2019.
10th hit in a row - that's what Akshay Kumar has earned with his latest release Mission Mangal.
The film, which hit the screens on
Independence Day, continues to create magic at the box office. After becoming
Akshay Kumar’s Biggest Opener in his carreer
Jagan Shakti-directed film has also turned out to be Khiladi Kumar's
second fastest-film to cross the Rs 150-crore mark. This is not the only feat
achieved by Mission Mangal.
It has also dethroned Akshay Kumar's last release Kesari
(which earned Rs 160 crore in its lifetime) to become the fourth highest
grosser of Bollywood so far. And going by the numbers at the box office, the
film is now Entered Rs 200-crore club.
